Hope Vocational Training Center

“Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.” – 1 John 3:18

“An empty stomach can’t really listen,” says Founder Pastor Emmanuel Sitaki. With much poverty and hardship facing widows, orphans and vulnerable people in Rwanda, we are following the command to love in action and in truth, to give them hope and a future. By teaching skills, students gain expertise to either start a business or find a job to provide for their family. As they are taught skills, staff present the clear message of Jesus Christ by word and deed.

How many schools?

Two schools for now, as we are expanding around the country and throughout the Great Lakes Region of Africa! Our main campus in Kabuga supports 200+ students per year with anticipated growth in coming years. Our sewing training school in the Eastern Province, located in the village of Rugendabari, reaches out to widows and orphans – many who can’t afford the transportation costs to the main campus.

Vision for HVTC

We are working towards a big vision to continue outreach to more villages in need of these essential skills, building them alongside churches to support the most vulnerable. Learn More
