“Turn to Me, and be saved, all the ends of the earth; for I am God, and there is no other.” Isaiah 45:22
The sun rose with clear blue skies, and like every typical day, students at our Hope Vocational Training Center arrived and squeezed on the wooden benches for morning devotion.
The student choir sang praises to God, closing their eyes and raising their hands to the Creator who made them. Some of the singers shuffled and stomped their feet, dancing unto the Lord.
Pastor Augustine then shared the Word of God about salvation in Jesus Christ and the gift of eternal life. After preaching intensely, wiping the sweat off his forehead, he asked those who want to give their lives to Jesus to raise their hands. 80 hands were raised. 80 lives were saved. 80 students will never be the same.
Most all students did not have a Bible of their own, as many have difficulty paying school fees and come from poor living conditions. Thanks to the generous giving of saints at Stuart Heights Baptist Church, all 130 students received Bibles in Kinyarwanda that they can now call their own.
The work continues at ERM with so many new believers in classrooms and most all reading the Bible for the first time. Teachers and administrative staff continue to love them and minister to them physically, emotionally and spiritually. We ask for your prayers for these students, that they will grow in a deep relationship with their Heavenly Father in Jesus Christ and find their value and purpose in Him alone.
